How can I possibly let you know how "cool" Cody is in such a small space? Being raised by his single Mom, Cody is t he 'Man of the House'. He has been drumming since 3 months old. Now, at 3 yrs old, Cody recognizes his numbers 1-20, knows his ABC's, can print his name, as well as Mom, Dad, Nana, etc. and even knows his address and phone number. He is as "sharp as a tack" and three steps ahead of us at all times. He recently said to me "Nana, please don't say perhaps 'cause it doesn't mean yes or no!" He sings, dances, loves Rockband, especially the drums, plays I-spy, Simon says, Who am I?, loves crafts, puzzles, hockey, soccer and catching and throwing balls. He loves to cook and bake, and after dinner last evening, Cody cleaned off the dinner table and brought everything into the kitchen, and then thanked me for a delicious dinner. He has a cute, shy side, but once he wins you over, he controls the ambiance. He attends swimming and skating classes, and because of his fearless disposition, many times, demonstrates to the other children how it needs to be done. Cody's vocabulary is beyond a child of 3 and we have been stopped by complete strangers, many times, who have noticed and praised his uniqueness. His latest passion is figure skating, after watching Canadians and Four Continents on television. He knows each competitor by name, and which country they are from. I am convinced when he begins school in a couple of years, that he will be correcting the teacher. He navigates the computer mouse, tries to play 'free cell' and says he is just checking his emails. Last week he said, "Nana, it's taking way too long to grow up!" Cody, being a natural performer, demands full attention from his audience, bows, and moves on to his next adventure. Sometimes the littliest things take up the biggest space in your heart. Cody is one cool kid.
